Laura Stark
Board Member
Laura graduated from Central Michigan University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in biomedical science. After graduation, she began working as a certified nursing assistant and took time off to volunteer in 2016. While volunteering she was struck by a car and became paralyzed from the chest down. Currently, Laura is back working in healthcare, this time as an employee scheduler, where she has been for the past 3.5 years.
Laura loves to stay active. She's currently playing wheelchair basketball with University of Michigan's D2 team as well as Mary Free Bed's Women's team. She also loves to handcycle and is always in the gym.
Laura believes strongly in making your own path through life and not letting other's define you. She is excited to be on the board for Women's WOW so she can help women form lasting bonds with other women wheelchair users.
