Summer Camp
Fall Camp
On average, it costs Women's World on Wheels $2000/camper for our camps.... and thanks to our wonderful donors, we are able to charge only $150/camper for each camp. This includes all accommodations, meals, activities, and transportation once at camp. This cost does not include airfare, gas or personal rides to/from camp (see camp specific FAQs for additional transportation information).
If you are unable to pay the $150 registration fee, we offer fundraising options.
Though our camps vary, we typically have fun, adventurous and full days planned. You can expect to enjoy breakfast around 8am with activities running from 9am - 3pm daily. We have dinner around 5 or 6pm with an evening activity scheduled until around 9pm.
Often, campers stay up to socialize, play games and chat later into the evening and there is no set "lights-out"...though after a full day of fun, you may choose sleep!
Activities can include adventure - biking, zip-lining, kayaking, skiing, archery, swimming; wellness - massage therapy, music therapy, yoga, wellness speakers; movement - dancing, zumba; fun - game nights, trivia, sing-along-campfires; and more!
Meals are included at our Summer Camp at Easter Seals Rocky Mountain Village. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most special diets (vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc) can be accommodated for!
Last year we started having our hot breakfasts brought to the cabins in the mornings to allow for additional time to get ready and this worked well - the breakfast is still hot but is served to-go style. Breakfasts can range from waffles, to eggs, to breakfast sandwiches. The camp also provides cereal, yogurt and fruit.
Because we are usually out doing our activities during the day, you can expect a full sack-lunch for your mid-day meal.
Dinners are served in the main lodge dining hall and include a full salad bar, hot meals and a fun dessert.
Women's WOW provides coffee and small snacks to have in the cabin and you are also free to bring any other snacks or food that you prefer.
Women's World on Wheels serves women who use wheelchairs as their primary source of mobility. Our campers must be at least 21 years old and we typically have campers ranging from 23 - 65 years old. We serve any camper who identifies as female and who is looking to not only seek adventure herself but also empower other woman to do the same.
There is no experience required for the activities - they are guided by our friends at National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), Adaptive Therapeutic Recreation Programs, and the Easter Seals staff.
We keep our camp sizes small to better foster relationships and a sense of community throughout camp and beyond!
Yes! We love our volunteers and have a couple different options available for those interested. You can fill out our volunteer form to sign up!
Personal aides are also welcome! If you require assistance with your activities of daily living, you can register an aide to attend camp with you. The aides come to camp free of charge.
Please note that some of our activites are limited by time, availability of equipment, and cost so volunteers and aides may not be able to participate in every activity.
Absolutely! We have sponsorship opportunities available for all levels of support - individual camp buddy all the way up to annual and camp sponsors. Visit our sponsorship page for more info!
